Bible Connect offers a quiet space to explore the Bible, save verses, reflect, follow your progress and ask questions through Ask. These Terms explain how you may use the Android app, how subscriptions and Embers work, and what you can expect from the service.
Please read these Terms before creating an account, starting a trial or making a purchase. The individual operating Bible Connect is identified in Section 18. In these Terms, “Bible Connect,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to that operator; “you” refers to the person using the service.
Key points
- Bible Connect is intended for people aged 18 and above.
- An eligible 7-day free trial allows you to try the service. After the trial, an active paid subscription is required to use the app’s subscription features; there is no ongoing free tier.
- Access subscriptions are available on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis. The price, billing period, trial eligibility and renewal terms are displayed before you confirm your purchase through Google Play.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You manage cancellation through Google Play.
- Subscription payments are generally final. Requests for a discretionary refund must be submitted within 14 calendar days of the charge concerned and are reviewed individually, without a guarantee of approval. Mandatory rights and applicable Google Play refund decisions are unaffected.
- Embers do not expire, can accumulate and cannot be transferred. Your remaining balance is preserved when your subscription ends and is available again when you reactivate your subscription, provided your account is retained.
- Ask generates AI responses that may be inaccurate. It is a conversational and study feature, not professional advice.
- Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern Bible Connect and its related account, support, subscription and in-app purchase services. They are presented for your acceptance when you register or subscribe. If you do not agree, do not create an account or start a purchase. You can still contact support or exercise your legal and privacy rights.
You must be at least 18 years old. Users under 18 are not permitted to use Bible Connect, even with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Bible Connect is offered internationally, subject to local law and Google Play availability. You must not use the service where doing so would be unlawful. Availability of a particular language, Bible version or purchase offer may vary by country.
2. Your account
Google Sign-In is used for account authentication. You must provide accurate account information and use an account you are authorised to access. Keep your Google account secure and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to Bible Connect.
Use the same Bible Connect account to maintain your saved verses, Ask history, progress and Embers. Use the Google Play account associated with a purchase when managing or restoring that purchase. Creating a new Bible Connect account does not automatically transfer the contents of an earlier account.
You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. This does not make you automatically liable for unauthorised activity or remove any rights concerning unauthorised payments.
3. Access to the service
Bible Connect is an Android app. You need a compatible device, the required software and an internet connection for functions that depend on online services. Any device, connectivity or mobile-data charges are your responsibility. Relevant compatibility information is provided in the Google Play listing and app.
After the free trial ends, an active Access subscription is required to continue using the subscription features. There is no continuing free version of those features. Without an active subscription, you can still use the available account-management, legal, support and deletion channels and manage your purchases through Google Play.
A subscription grants access for its valid duration. It does not give ownership of the app, Bible texts or other third-party material, or guarantee that every feature or Bible version will remain unchanged indefinitely.
4. Free trial, subscriptions and billing
7-day free trial
The trial lasts 7 days for eligible users. Eligibility and the offer available to you are shown before confirmation. A previous trial or purchase may affect eligibility for a new offer.
If you enrol in a subscription with a trial through Google Play, the subscription converts to the paid plan shown at checkout unless you cancel before the trial ends. The purchase screen identifies the first charge and subsequent billing schedule. Cancel through Google Play before the displayed trial deadline if you do not want the paid subscription.
Access plans
Access is offered as weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions. The selected plan renews automatically for the billing period shown unless you cancel. A yearly plan is billed for the year; any monthly equivalent shown is a comparison, not a promise of monthly instalments.
Prices, currency, applicable taxes, discounts and trial terms are displayed in the app and Google Play purchase screen before you authorise payment. The confirmed purchase terms apply to that transaction. Future price changes follow applicable law and Google Play’s notification and approval requirements; they do not retroactively change completed charges.
Payments are processed through Google Play Billing using your authorised payment method. Google Play’s payment terms also apply to its processing. If a payment fails or a subscription expires, access depends on the verified entitlement status, including any grace or recovery period actually provided by Google Play.
Any feature limits or purchase conditions must be disclosed in the relevant offer before purchase. These Terms do not authorise undisclosed additional charges for Ask or other features.
5. Cancellation and purchase restoration
To manage or cancel a subscription, open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Bible Connect and follow the instructions. You can also use Google Play’s subscription management page.
Cancellation normally stops the next renewal. Access ordinarily continues until the end of the current paid period, unless a refund, immediate termination option or applicable law provides otherwise. Trial access follows the end date shown by Google Play after cancellation. Cancelling a renewal is different from requesting a refund or exercising a statutory withdrawal right.
Uninstalling the app, not using it, contacting support or deleting your Bible Connect account does not by itself cancel a Google Play subscription. Check your Google Play subscription status separately. We will assist with billing questions within our ability.
Use Restore Purchases, where available, with the relevant account to verify eligible purchases and restore associated access. Restoration does not create a new purchase, duplicate Embers or transfer purchases between unrelated accounts. If a balance or entitlement is missing, contact us with your order reference. Do not send payment card details.
6. Embers and streaks
Embers are digital in-app units used for the streak-protection or restoration functions explained in My Candle and the purchase screens. They may be purchased separately from Access. Any promotional allocation and the amount used for a particular action are shown in the app.
Embers do not expire and can accumulate. Ending or cancelling Access does not reduce the remaining balance. While the subscription is inactive, the balance remains associated with your account; when you reactivate Access on that account, the remaining balance is available again. Access to the related app features still requires an active subscription after the trial.
Embers are personal to your Bible Connect account. They cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged between users or used outside Bible Connect. They are not legal tender, a bank deposit or an investment and are not redeemable for cash, except where a refund or other remedy is required by law.
Using Embers reduces the balance by the amount shown for the action. Purchase restoration does not replenish units already used. If a purchase is refunded or reversed, we may adjust only the balance or entitlement attributable to that purchase and will not remove unrelated valid purchases.
The no-expiry rule applies while the account is retained. Account deletion removes its associated balance records. Account retention, including the two-year inactivity period, is described in the Privacy Policy; subscription expiry alone does not delete the account or its Embers. Any consequences for paid balances remain subject to mandatory consumer rights.
Streaks and progress reflect activity recorded by the app. If you believe a technical error affected your streak or consumed Embers incorrectly, contact us so we can investigate and correct verified errors.
7. Refunds and withdrawal rights
Refund eligibility depends on the purchase, the circumstances, your country and applicable law. You can use Google Play’s refund process or contact voledostudio@gmail.com with the order reference and a description of the issue. We will assist and handle requests within our responsibilities; Google Play’s role does not remove any rights you have against us.
Subscription refund policy
Subscription payments are generally final. We do not ordinarily provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods simply because you change your mind, stop using the app or cancel renewal. Cancellation does not automatically refund a completed charge.
As a discretionary goodwill measure, we review subscription refund requests individually when they are submitted within 14 calendar days of the subscription charge concerned. We may consider the reason for the request, the service supplied, account usage and relevant purchase history. Submitting a request within this period does not guarantee approval or create an automatic entitlement to a full or partial refund.
After that 14-day window, we do not offer discretionary subscription refunds for a change of mind or a decision to stop using the app. For example, using most of a monthly subscription and requesting a refund shortly before it ends does not qualify for a discretionary refund under this policy.
This window is measured from the particular charge for which you request reimbursement, including a renewal charge; it does not restart when you cancel or contact support. It is a review deadline, not an extension of the subscription period or a refund guarantee.
If a refund is approved, the related subscription entitlement may end or be adjusted to reflect the refund. To prevent further renewal charges, manage cancellation separately as described in Section 5.
These restrictions apply only to voluntary refunds offered by Bible Connect. They do not limit statutory withdrawal rights, remedies for defective, unavailable or misdescribed services, unauthorised-payment protections, or refunds and proportional reimbursements available under applicable Google Play policies. A claim based on those rights is not barred merely because more than 14 days have passed or you have used the app. If a feature is defective or not as described, you may have rights to correction, a price reduction or termination and reimbursement, depending on the law and circumstances.
EEA and other statutory withdrawal rights
Where applicable consumer law grants a cooling-off period, you may withdraw without giving a reason. In the EEA, the ordinary period for relevant distance service contracts is 14 days from conclusion of the contract, subject to the applicable rules and lawful exceptions. This is separate from the 7-day promotional trial; the trial does not replace statutory rights.
For digital content supplied immediately, a withdrawal right is lost only if all legal requirements are met, including any required prior express consent, acknowledgement and contractual confirmation. For services begun during the withdrawal period at your express request, a proportionate charge may be due where legally permitted; loss of the right following full performance is subject to the applicable conditions. Accepting these Terms or simply opening the app is not, by itself, a waiver of withdrawal rights.
To withdraw, use the applicable Google Play withdrawal/refund channel or send an unambiguous statement to the contact in Section 18 before the relevant deadline. You may use the following optional form:
To: the Bible Connect operator at the email or postal address in Section 18.
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following subscription or digital purchase:
Purchase and Google Play order reference:
Date of order:
Consumer name and address:
Account email:
Date:
Signature, only if sent on paper:
Where reimbursement is due following withdrawal, it is made within the applicable legal deadline, ordinarily within 14 days after notice under the EEA rules, using the original payment method unless another permitted method is agreed. The applicable checkout information and mandatory law determine the specific rights for your transaction.
8. Ask and AI-generated responses
Ask is an AI-powered conversational feature for Bible-related questions, reflection and general encouragement. It uses Google Gemini through Lovable AI Gateway. It is not a conversation with a human adviser, minister or support agent.
Responses can be incomplete, mistaken, inconsistent or include incorrect quotations or references. Check important statements against the relevant Bible text and other reliable sources. Responses do not necessarily represent the views of any church, denomination or the operator.
Ask does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other regulated professional advice and is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it as a substitute for qualified help or urgent assistance.
You are responsible for deciding how to use responses, without limiting our legal obligations for the service. Safety measures or technical limitations may cause requests to be declined or temporarily unavailable. Generated responses may not be unique, and we do not promise exclusive rights in them.
9. Bible texts, content and intellectual property
The app’s branding, design, software and original content belong to the operator or the relevant rights holders. Subject to these Terms and any required subscription, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the app for its intended purposes.
Bible translations and other third-party content remain subject to their own copyright status, licences and attribution requirements. Public-domain material remains in the public domain; we do not claim ownership of it. Required source information is shown in the app. In Today, where a source notice is required, it can be accessed by selecting the Bible version name associated with the verse.
Your subscription pays for access to Bible Connect’s service and features; it does not transfer third-party copyright or grant unrestricted republication rights. Sharing, quoting or reusing a Bible text must respect the relevant licence and applicable copyright exceptions.
Do not copy, sell, redistribute or commercially exploit protected app material beyond the permissions provided by its rights holder or by law. This does not restrict statutory rights, public-domain use or uses expressly enabled and permitted by the app.
10. Your messages and saved content
You retain any rights you hold in the original material you submit, such as your own Ask questions. You grant us only the permission necessary to process, transmit, store and display that material to provide your requested features, maintain the service and comply with law. This does not transfer ownership of your messages or authorise their use in advertising.
Ask is not a public user-to-user chat. Conversations are saved in your account and are processed by the service providers described in the Privacy Policy; “private” does not mean that no provider processes them.
Do not submit content you have no right to provide, unnecessary identifying information about others or material whose processing would violate their rights. Content retention, deletion and provider processing are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Accepting these Terms does not itself provide any separate privacy consent required by law.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for unlawful purposes, threats, harassment, exploitation or infringement of another person’s rights;
- access another account without permission, bypass payment or security controls, or manipulate purchase records, Embers or progress;
- introduce malicious code, disrupt infrastructure or send automated requests that materially interfere with the service;
- extract protected content in bulk, resell access or reverse engineer protected software except where applicable law permits it;
- use Ask to facilitate unlawful acts or deliberately evade applicable safety controls.
Good-faith questions, different beliefs, doubts and criticism do not by themselves breach these Terms. Reporting a problem or exercising a consumer or privacy right is not prohibited conduct.
12. Privacy and third-party services
Our Privacy Policy, available in the app, explains personal-data processing, providers, retention and privacy rights. It is a separate notice; accepting these Terms does not make optional tracking mandatory.
Bible Connect uses third-party infrastructure, including Lovable Cloud, Google authentication, Google Play Billing and the AI services described above. Their own terms apply to services they supply directly to you. We remain responsible for our own obligations and cannot remove them merely because a third-party provider is involved.
13. Updates, availability and service changes
We provide updates required to keep the service functioning, secure and in conformity with applicable law. Install necessary updates and maintain a compatible Android environment. We will explain material compatibility changes where required.
Maintenance, connectivity problems or provider outages may temporarily affect access or synchronization. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but this does not exclude remedies for a failure to supply the service as legally required.
We may make reasonable changes for security, legal compliance, reliability, compatibility or product development, without an additional charge unless you separately agree to a paid purchase. Material adverse changes to paid access will be notified in advance where required, with an explanation of any right to terminate or obtain a remedy. We will not use a general change clause to remove paid rights without the protections required by law.
If we discontinue a paid service or an Embers-related function, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and an appropriate remedy for affected prepaid access or unused paid units as required by law. An emergency or legal prohibition may require faster action.
14. Account deletion, suspension and termination
You can delete your account through Account → Delete account, or contact us using the details in Section 18. Deletion removes the account and its associated saved information as described in the Privacy Policy, including Ask history, progress and Ember balance records. A new account does not automatically recover deleted content. Please resolve any purchase or balance issue before deletion if you want assistance preserving an entitlement. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
We may restrict or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, fraud, a serious security risk or a legal requirement. We will act proportionately and, where appropriate and lawful, explain the reason and allow correction or review. Immediate restriction may be necessary to protect users or the service. You can contact us to challenge a decision.
Subscription expiry merely ends subscription access; it does not itself trigger account deletion or forfeiture of Embers. Account data is otherwise retained and deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Any refund, entitlement adjustment or handling of unused paid Embers following termination must comply with applicable consumer law.
Account deletion and cancellation of Google Play renewal are separate actions. Follow Section 5 to prevent future subscription charges.
15. Service standards and liability
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill and meet applicable obligations concerning the supply and conformity of digital content and services.
No provision excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer guarantees and remedies. Any applicable limits must be interpreted subject to those protections.
Subject to mandatory law, we are responsible for loss that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not accept responsibility for loss caused solely by matters outside our reasonable control or your own unlawful misuse, except where the law nevertheless makes us responsible. Reasonable efforts to prevent or remedy disruptions remain required where applicable.
Bible Connect is supplied for personal use. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for commercial losses arising from a use we did not agree to support. The AI limitations in Section 8 do not waive statutory service guarantees or permit misleading descriptions.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for legal requirements, security, changes to the service or clarification. The updated date identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in advance where appropriate or required by law, including their effective date and any available cancellation rights.
Changes do not retroactively alter completed purchases or remove rights already acquired. If a change requires your agreement, we will obtain it; continued use will not substitute for a legally required express agreement or consent. If you disagree with a material change, you may stop using the service and cancel renewal, without losing any mandatory remedy.
17. Applicable law and complaints
These Terms are governed by Spanish law, subject to mandatory protections that apply to you. If you are a consumer in another country, this choice does not deprive you of non-waivable protections of the law that would otherwise apply, including relevant protections in your country of habitual residence.
Please send complaints to voledostudio@gmail.com, identifying the account and issue and providing any relevant order reference. We will acknowledge and handle complaints within applicable legal time limits. Do not include full payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information.
You may use competent consumer authorities or any applicable alternative dispute-resolution procedures. We do not require binding arbitration, waive your right to bring an individual or collective claim where protected by law, or require consumers to bring all proceedings exclusively in Spain. Court jurisdiction follows the applicable rules, including any right to sue in your home jurisdiction.
If a provision is unenforceable, it does not affect the remaining provisions to the extent they can lawfully operate independently. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. Neither provision allows us to rewrite an unfair term to your disadvantage.
18. Operator and contact
